About Martin Paul James.
I’ve been playing drums for over twenty-five years and teaching for 14 of those year; applying my skills to a variety of musical situations from rock, jazz/funk to theatre work, from singer songwriters to solo artists and function/covers bands.
Along with years of live performance experience, I have also recorded numerous albums and ep’s as a session musician and band member and appeared in several live TV broadcasts and music video.
My students are of all ages from total beginners to advanced seasoned player. I teach privately and for various music services/schools in and around London.
My aim is to help students achieve their drumming goals weather playing in their first band, developing drum techniques, drum styles or working towards a drum grade, and hopefully imparting my enthusiasm for this wonderful and expressive instrument.
